Batteries

One battery per range

Each family of scooters has its own battery, and they are not interchangeable. The WhiteShark Mix and Mix Pro use a 122 Wh battery (11,000 mAh). The Navbow, Navbow+, Swii and WhiteShark Tini share the same one, available in 98 Wh and 158 Wh. The Vapor has its own, 384.8 Wh (13,000 mAh), which gives it up to an hour of runtime.

A battery serial number begins with BA, BC or CA. It is on the label stuck to the battery — that is the number we need to open a case, not the scooter’s.

What you may take on a plane

Lithium batteries are regulated, and the threshold does not depend on the brand: below 100 Wh they travel freely in the cabin; between 100 and 160 Wh the airline’s approval is required; above 160 Wh they are banned from passenger flights.

In practice: the 98 Wh battery passes with no formality, the 122 Wh and 158 Wh go in the cabin with the airline’s approval, and the Vapor’s 384.8 Wh battery cannot fly. In every case a battery travels in the cabin — never in the hold.

Maintenance and care

A battery almost never dies of use. It dies of long storage while empty, or of salt left on its contacts.

  • Never store it discharged: half full is the state that harms it least.
  • Recharge it at least once a quarter if the scooter is not being used.
  • Rinse the contacts with fresh water after a trip at sea, then dry them.
  • Store it dry and cool, away from any heat source.
  • A swollen or deformed battery, or one that heats abnormally, cannot be repaired: stop using it and open a service request.
