Chargers

One charger per battery family

There is no universal Sublue charger. Each range has its own, because the batteries share neither capacity nor connector: the WhiteShark Mix and the Mix Pro charge on a 122 Wh station; the Navbow, the Navbow+, the Swii and the WhiteShark Tini share the same charger, made for 98 Wh and 158 Wh batteries; the Vapor has its own, sized for its 384.8 Wh.

A charger from another range will not charge the battery properly, even if it plugs in. It is a common cause of failure — and it is not covered by the warranty.

Standard charger or fast charger

Every scooter ships with its own charger, and that is enough for normal use. The fast charger, sold separately, does one thing: it shortens the wait between two outings. Expect 2 h instead of 4 h on Mix and Mix Pro, about 2 h instead of 3 h 30 on Navbow, Swii and Tini, 1 h 30 instead of 3 h on the Vapor.

It earns its keep as soon as you go out twice in a day: rentals, dive schools, or simply a busy weekend. These fast chargers are designed by Sublue for these exact batteries — they are not third-party accessories.

Maintenance and care

Most charger failures do not come from the charger, but from the contacts. A plug rinsed too quickly after a trip at sea oxidises: the contact becomes intermittent, then stops altogether.

  • Rinse the plug with fresh water after every trip at sea, then wipe it dry.
  • Wait until the battery and the plug are dry before connecting.
  • Charge at room temperature, out of direct sunlight, on a non-flammable surface.
  • Do not leave a battery plugged in for days after charging has finished.
  • If the indicator stays off or blinks abnormally, unplug it and open a service request. Never open the casing yourself.
